Apprentice Mechanic Job Description

First Transit Canada is seeking an Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will assist Journeyman Technicians with vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring our fleet is safe and reliable for our customers.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, including brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
  • Work with a team to complete work orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop your skills and knowledge through ongoing training and mentorship.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous experience with gas or diesel vehicle repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good computer skills
