Bell Media is seeking a skilled Weather Specialist Host to join our team at CTV Regina. As a key member of our Newsroom, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and engaging weather forecasts to our audience.
Key Responsibilities- Anchoring weather segments live in studio and on location.
- Producing and delivering concise weather information, including graphics and updates.
- Collaborating with producers, anchors, and reporters to create compelling on-air content.
- Developing strong story ideas and contributing to the show's success.
- Representing CTV at community events and making public appearances.
- Performing other duties as assigned, including interviewing and reporting live.
- 2-3 years of experience as a weather presenter in a similar market newscast.
- Post-secondary education in broadcasting, journalism, or meteorology.
- Knowledge of television production procedures and terminology.
- Experience with breaking news and strong interviewing skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and work well under pressure.
- Exceptional organization, leadership, and communication skills.
40+ hours per week, with a typical on-air schedule including early mornings.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
