We are seeking an experienced Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality of our menu items.
About the Role:This is a permanent full-time position requiring a 1-year minimum commitment. You can expect to work approximately 30-40 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and be fluent in English. A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Responsibilities:- Cooking and Preparing Meals: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers.
- Food Safety and Handling: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Purchasing and Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed and maintain inventory records.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina due to standing for extended periods.
