Medical Secretary - Op-Oncology Clinic
At PHSA, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Secretary to join our team in the Op-Oncology Clinic. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the clinical team, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and logistics, including preparing agendas, minutes, and materials.
- Manage mail, emails, and correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Assist with research documents, grant applications, and other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription, and three years' recent related experience.
- Ability to keyboard at 50 wpm, communicate effectively, and deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
