Job Title: Export Merchant

Job Summary:

The Andersons Canada Limited is a leading supplier of value-added agricultural products, including grains, white pea beans, edible beans, popcorn, and dry pack grocery products. We are seeking an experienced Export Merchant to join our team in the agriculture industry at our Chatham, ON office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the selling activities for soybeans, ensuring The Andersons Canada maintains a profitable position in the dry bean industry.
• Determine supply and demand, survey market conditions, and analyze economic forces to establish a strong market position.
• Negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sale contracts, including price, quality, quantity, transportation, timing, and payment.
• Develop and support strong relationships with current and new customers, educating them on our facilities and services, and forming value-added partnerships to maximize joint profitability.
• Arrange efficient transportation of commodities and ensure thorough and accurate follow-up, execution, and closure to all contracts.
• Maintain regular customer communication to build and grow customer relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2-5 years' relevant experience required.
