Job Summary:

The Pastry Cook will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, bread, and cakes under the direction of the Pastry Chef. This role requires a team player who can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily prep items with fresh ingredients
  • Design and create bread, cakes, and viennoise
  • Support the completion of daily cleaning tasks
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail with regards to product presentation and design
  • Maintain an organized and clean prep/work area
  • Sample ingredients, mix, and finish products to ensure quality and flavor profiles
  • Meet production schedules and timelines

Requirements:

  • Completion of a designated culinary school
  • At least one year of baking/pastry work experience
  • Ability to multi-task and have an eye for detail
  • Organized and able to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • Flexible working hours, including weekend and evenings
