Job Summary

C through 786 Diagnostic Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Aide to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Aide, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation and Testing: Log patient samples and prepare them for testing, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Set up and maintain medical laboratory equipment, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, identifying and addressing any quality control issues.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Quality Assessment: Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Specimen Handling: Discard specimens according to established safety procedures, minimizing risk to patients and staff.
  • Organ Examination: Dissect, examine, and weigh organs, as required, to support laboratory testing.
  • Test Administration: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Equipment Calibration: Monitor, check, and calibrate auditory equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
