Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Geology Instructor to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing online courses in Geology, as well as providing support and guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver online courses in Geology, including lectures, assignments, and exams.
  • Provide regular feedback and support to students through email, phone, and online discussions.
  • Mark assignments and exams, and provide prompt feedback to students.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of online course materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in Geology or a related field, as well as significant recent academic experience in the subject area. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative online environment.

Experience working with current educational technologies, tools, and Learning Management Systems is an asset. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in the subject matter of the course, and have a strong commitment to teaching and learning.
