Job Summary

The Sales Department Manager is responsible for driving business growth and developing a high-performing team within a specialized merchandise department at a Bass Pro Shops retail location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and improve sales performance.
  • Manage inventory levels, pricing, and merchandise presentation to maximize sales and minimize waste.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales events and promotions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of retail management experience with a focus on sales and merchandising.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, pricing, and merchandise presentation.
  • Ability to obtain a Possession and Acquisition License (P.A.L.).
