About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at OpenText. As a key member of our Global Sourcing and Contract Management team, you will play a critical role in maximizing value from our vendor relationships and ensuring our business unit stakeholders have the goods and services they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category management plans to reduce costs and increase supplier performance within the IT & Telecom category.
  • Lead RFX planning & execution, and manage the supplier selection process to ensure informed decisions.
  • Manage and optimize supplier performance, including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations, and reduced total cost of ownership.
  • Support the identification of post-merger and acquisition contract and software synergies.
  • Collaborate closely with various business partners across the stakeholder groups for their Sourcing needs, including Finance and Legal.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management experience, with a global mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, MBA, LLB, Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Ability to maintain perspective and confidence when leading and negotiating major transactions, contract negotiations, tight deadlines, and client expectations.
  • In-depth experience & knowledge of IT Hardware, Software and Telecom networking & datacenter/co-location.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of business ethics and accountability.
