Job Title: Mason

At BS-1 MASONRY LTD., we are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and finishing structures using concrete, brick, and other masonry materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement
  • Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Working at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Imparting desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work on site, with no option to work remotely
  • Physical demands of the job include handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Own tools and equipment, including safety equipment and gear
Working Conditions:
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Exposure to dusty, outdoors, and wet/damp conditions
  • Work setting includes commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential environments
