Job Title: Loss Prevention Specialist



We are seeking a highly capable Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at London Drugs. As one of Canada's fastest-growing and most successful retail chains, we know what it takes to build a satisfying career.



Responsibilities:




  • Conduct surveillance, investigation, and maintenance of loss prevention systems at store locations
  • Identify areas of loss and work with the team to develop shrink reduction plans
  • Detect and apprehend individuals committing criminal offenses against the company
  • Secure evidence, write reports, and prepare documents for court testimony
  • Perform special assignments, including lock repair, key control, staff awareness, and orientation
  • Maintain the overall security of our locations


Qualifications:




  • We offer an extensive in-house training program (in BC, we are an accredited BST training provider)
  • Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Ability to remain calm and respond with good judgment in emergency situations
  • Commitment to protecting people and property in a safe and legal manner
  • Ability to work under strict confidentiality
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to personal and professional integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and court testimony
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle
  • Availability to work at all locations and surrounding areas
  • Previous Loss Prevention experience or related experience within the Criminal Justice system is an asset
  • Previous security-related education, professional accreditation, first aid, and first responder training is an asset
  • Use of force and restraining device training is an asset
  • Provincial security worker license or ability to obtain one before commencing work


Availability Requirement:



Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday.
