Scheduling Coordinator for Long Term Care

As a Scheduling Coordinator for Long Term Care, you will play a vital role in providing centralized support to our long-term care homes, ensuring timely staffing and maintaining accurate records.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing centralized support to all long-term care homes in calling in and replacing staff during evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, according to established procedures and shift scheduling guidelines.
- Ensuring timely updates to local centres and maintaining both computerized and manual staff scheduling/timekeeping records.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completion of a College secretarial program or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of clerical or secretarial experience, with experience in scheduling in an unionized environment being an asset.
- Good typing and accurate data entry skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) is required, with knowledge of Chinese wordprocessing and time and attendance systems being an asset.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage others in a pleasant, positive, and professional manner.
- Effective time management and organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a team.
- Relevant satisfactory work performance.
Working Conditions
This role requires the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. The incumbent will primarily work from home with an internet connection and occasionally attend meetings on site.
