Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Timetable Coordinator to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a key member of our Academic Scheduling Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth production and implementation of our academic timetable.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and validating course loading data, ensuring accurate scheduling, and coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve conflicts. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate course loading data received from Program Heads to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate with Program Heads, Enrolment Services Specialists, and Facilities Management to ensure timely completion of tasks and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Schedule all Saskatchewan Polytechnic courses, including base programs, apprenticeship, and continuing education courses.
  • Ensure conflict-free schedules for all program activities.
  • Validate the accuracy of scheduled data in the Student Information System (SIS).
  • Provide guidance to program heads and staff on using the timetable system.
  • Respond to inquiries from faculty, staff, and students regarding policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognized Office Education or Business Certificate, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Two years recent, relevant experience in administrative work.
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and Internet browsers.
  • Effective communication skills, including both oral and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to calculate averages and percentages, analyze information, and make complex decisions independently.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and complete them within tight timelines.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
