We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Analysis Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, BC.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and contract management of pump stations and treatment facilities. As a Mechanical Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for working on projects for municipal clients, leading small, medium, and large municipal water & wastewater pump station and reservoir projects and programs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Work effectively within a dynamic team to contribute to high-profile projects, pushing the boundaries of digital innovation to enhance future-ready capabilities.
  • Project Management: Assist in managing bulk potable water pipelines (water main), sewage pipelines (forcemain and gravity main), and reticulation projects in Mainland Vancouver, ensuring quality policies and procedures set by WSP and the Client are upheld.
  • Technical Expertise: Lead the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports for design projects, independently creating detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for bulk potable water pipelines (water main), sewage pipelines (forcemain and gravity main), and reticulation infrastructure design projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10+ years of technical engineering skills in civil engineering or related fields.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree being a plus.
  • Previous experience managing and delivering civil engineering design projects, with demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, and direct development of large projects and pursuits with complex features.
  • Understanding of how to financially manage projects, as well as the ability to mentor junior staff.
