Auditor Quality Assurance Specialist

The role of Auditor Quality Assurance Specialist is a vital part of ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications at MLF Brandon. As an Auditor, you will work closely with production supervisors and employees to guarantee that products meet high standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Audit product according to specifications and identify any quality issues;
- Develop solutions to repetitive failures and other problems affecting plant operations;
- Collaborate with production supervisors and employees to maintain compliance with food safety programs;
- Conduct temperature monitoring using digital thermometers;
- Perform follow-ups on corrective actions for customer complaints and failed audits;
- Audit GMPs and the HACCP system;
- Data entry as required;
- Provide timely feedback to Production Supervisors on audit findings;
- Maintain daily documentation of audit results, non-compliances, and corrective actions;
- Assist in Six Sigma projects as needed;
- Participate in sampling and testing on the dressing floor to ensure compliance with CFIAs MSIP program and internal CCP 2B requirements;
- Prevent ongoing production of non-compliant products when non-conformities are observed or identified;
- Control and dispose of non-compliant products accordingly.
To excel in this role, you must have:
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures, understand product specifications, standard operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and other relevant documents;
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with plant supervisors, management, and CFIA representatives;
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail and the ability to function in a fast-paced production environment;
- Dependability in your current position (attendance and performance);
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Knowledge of HACCP & Food Safety principles; working experience in the fresh pork industry, including knowledge of meat cuts and food quality issues, would be an asset.
