Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workforce Planning Manager to join our team at the City of Toronto. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic workforce plans that align with the City's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive workforce plans that address the City's current and future workforce needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and departmental stakeholders to identify and prioritize workforce development initiatives.
  • Design and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of City employees.
  • Conduct analysis and research to identify trends and best practices in workforce planning and development.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support workforce planning and development initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on workforce planning and development best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing legislation and regulations related to employment and human rights.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
  • Considerable experience in workforce planning and development, preferably in a municipal or public sector organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and results-oriented work habits.
