About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at Novotel Toronto Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the property and product exceed guest expectations. They will identify and rectify general maintenance issues, respond to guest requests, perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs, and maintain work areas and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the property is in excellent condition, meeting or exceeding guest expectations;
  • Identify and address general maintenance issues promptly;
  • Respond to guest requests in a courteous and efficient manner;
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including drywall repair, painting, and carpentry as needed;
  • Maintain work areas, equipment, and logbooks;
  • Address emergency situations, such as fire alarms and power failures;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical experience in a recognized trade, with a solid understanding of building maintenance and operation;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and operations;
  • Good computer and communication skills;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
