About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Server to join our team at The Rec Room Barrie Park Place. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take food and beverage orders from guests and ensure accurate execution.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of menu items, including daily specials.
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Clean and maintain designated areas, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Set tables to company policy, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure storerooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Attend to guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in fire drills and maintain familiarity with all exits.
  • Carry out on-the-job training to ensure subordinate staff can perform duties effectively.
  • Adhere to Health, Food Safe, and Liquor service guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous restaurant service experience an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Working Conditions:

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Required to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required.
