Prosper Immigration Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join its construction team in British Columbia.

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in carpentry, who can demonstrate expertise in building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, steel, and other materials.

This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, including residential buildings, commercial and industrial structures. The ideal candidate will have experience with both rough and finish carpentry and be able to handle tasks ranging from framing to installing trims.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials such as wood, metal, and drywall to construct frameworks, walls, roofs, and other structures;
  • Interpreting blueprints and building plans to meet the specifications of each project;
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications;
  • Conducting repairs or renovations on existing structures as needed;
  • Safely operating power tools, saws, drills, and other carpentry equipment;
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to coordinate project phases;
  • Maintaining accurate records of materials used and reporting on project progress.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Red Seal Certification as a Carpenter in British Columbia or proof of relevant apprenticeship completion;
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of carpentry experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings;
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, carpentry techniques, and ability to read technical drawings;
  • A thorough understanding of construction safety protocols and local building codes;
  • The ability to work on their feet, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with specialized carpentry, such as cabinetry or finish carpentry;
  • Familiarity with sustainable building materials or eco-friendly construction techniques;
  • Bilingual proficiency in French.
