Career Opportunity: Practical Nurse in Geriatrics at Pro Vita Care Management
About the Role:
- We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to patients in a geriatric setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic and side effects, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Apply aseptic techniques and sterile dressing to maintain infection control and prevent complications.
- Conduct specimen collection, accurately labeling and storing samples for further analysis.
- Monitor nutritional intake and vital signs, making adjustments as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care, prioritizing patient comfort and dignity.
- Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, empowering them with knowledge to manage chronic conditions.
- Perform nursing services within defined scope of practice, adhering to regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Monitor patients' progress, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions and making data-driven decisions to improve care.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work.
- Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
- CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate, demonstrating commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, including extended periods of standing.

- Dependable, efficient, and reliable, with excellent interpersonal skills.
