PBS Systems is a leading provider of dealership management software in North America, serving the automotive industry for over 30 years.

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Automotive Software Trainer to join our team. This role will provide support and training to new and existing customers on our Dealer Management Software (DMS), with a focus on the Parts and/or Service modules.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the automotive industry, and experience working with similar software systems. As a trainer, you will be responsible for assisting customers with virtual training, online and on the phone, as well as providing onsite training when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Learns and develops an understanding of the PBS software
  • Learns and develops an understanding of the process for training customers on the PBS software
  • Learns and develops an understanding of data entry and other key tasks
  • Completes the payroll module if applicable
  • Becomes an install resource without assistance
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks without direction from Team Leads
  • Takes the initiative to learn new products to increase knowledge
  • Provides excellent support to customers in our software
  • Can talk about and navigate our DMS Software to better assist customers
  • Works directly with customers and trains all sessions in assigned silo and if possible other silos
  • Maintains a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensuring they are being met or exceeded
  • Responds to both internal and external training requests in a timely manner
  • Writes up tickets and investigates issues that arise and escalates issues to corresponding teams
  • Creates and maintains a positive work environment
  • Shares knowledge within own silo and others within DTO
  • Maintains documentation and updates as processes change within department
  • Commits to ongoing system of education and cross-training
  • Monitors DTO queue
  • Customer focus / excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to go the extra mile
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in French and English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Experience in the parts or service area of a dealership preferred
  • 1-2 years' previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment or PBS is preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem solving & trouble shooting skills
  • Effective time management & organizational skills
  • Strong multi-tasking & prioritization
  • Strong documentation abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month; requires proof of Covid-19 vaccination, valid passport and/or US visa (if applicable), and valid full class driver's license
