Job Title: Assistant Store Manager, Penningtons

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Penningtons, a leading Canadian plus-size fashion retailer. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in leading a team of sales associates to achieve sales and profit goals, while providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales and profit goals, while promoting a positive and inclusive store culture.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience and are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Store Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.
  • Merchandise Strategies: Implement effective merchandise strategies to drive sales and achieve business objectives.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the Store Manager, District Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless store operations.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: At least 1 year of leadership and supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Sales Performance: Proven ability to lead teams to success through strong sales performance.
  • Education: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Availability: Ability to work weekends and evenings, as well as be available for on-call shifts.
  • Age: At least 18 years of age.
