About the Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Merchandising Specialist to work independently at one retail location for around 6-8 hours per week. This role involves performing merchandising tasks, maintaining sections, addressing out-of-stock issues, cleaning displays, watering plants, submitting daily reports, and building strong relationships with store managers.

Responsibilities

  • Performing merchandising tasks at multiple retail stores
  • Maintaining sections including restocking and ensuring dead plants are removed
  • Addressing any out-of-stock issues promptly
  • Cleaning our sections: dusting display fixtures and maintaining overall cleanliness
  • Watering plants and flowers regularly
  • Submitting daily required visit reports/call reports in a timely manner
  • Visiting the store three times a week to maintain displays and check on stock
  • Creating and maintaining good relationships with store managers
  • Removing any dead leaves/blooms and unsalable products from displays
  • Taking photographs of displays to ensure they are visually appealing

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Your home location should be preferably within 10 km of our retail store (by car)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Previous merchandising experience is an asset but not a requirement
  • Have a smartphone and access to the internet for reporting and communication purposes

Compensation Package
