Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief International Tax Strategist to join our team at The Mason Group Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and modeling the tax implications of foreign affiliate transactions, including drafting and reviewing step plans, analyzing financial statements, and communicating tax considerations to global stakeholders.

They will also coordinate internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation of transactions, work with accounting and compliance teams to document and report transactions, and provide guidance on financing structures and cash movements to optimize effective tax rates (ETRs).

The ideal candidate will have experience in tax planning, particularly in foreign affiliate transactions, and possess excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and model tax implications of foreign affiliate transactions
  • Coordinate internal and external teams for transaction implementation
  • Work with accounting and compliance teams to document and report transactions
  • Provide guidance on financing structures and cash movements to optimize ETRs
  • Research and evaluate repatriation strategies, including surplus and after-acquired cost (ACB) calculations
  • Assist with global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and post-acquisition integration activities
  • Manage global mobility tax compliance with external consultants
  • Collaborate with external consultants and business partners to leverage government grants, funding, and tax credits

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CPA or CA designation with completed In-Depth Tax program or Master's in Taxation
  • Strong experience in international tax, particularly in foreign affiliate transactions
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams

What We Offer
