We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Professional to join our team in Surrey, BC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to work with our interdisciplinary care team. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various physical conditions, as well as developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's physical status, functional abilities, needs, and goals through methods such as reviewing records, gathering information, interviewing the patient, identifying patient and therapist expectations, selecting and applying evidence-based assessment methods, consulting with members of the health care team, performing examinations, and monitoring the patient's health to improve, maintain or support physical performance.
  • Analyze the patient's needs, establish physiotherapy diagnosis and prognosis, and develop an evidence-based, outcome-focused intervention strategy; utilize assessment and reassessment findings, discuss the analysis with the patient and caregivers, develop short and long-term goals, and select a practice model/intervention consistent with patient needs and goals to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Implement interventions in accordance with established treatment guidelines and educate patients and caregivers regarding self-management, health promotion, and injury/disability prevention.
  • Participate in the interprofessional care planning process for patients as appropriate by ensuring the plan is established and implemented effectively, updating care plan, intervening as necessary, and collaborating and communicating on issues that will affect the care/transfer/discharge plan.
  • Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions by methods such as conducting ongoing assessment and monitoring of patient responses, evaluating changes in health status, function, and physical performance against predetermined goals and expected outcomes, and modifying the intervention strategy to achieve and maintain optimal functional independence and physical performance.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
  • Knowledge of the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia standards of practice and practice guidelines for clinical practitioners.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy standardized tests, measures, use of equipment, and related techniques.
  • Broad knowledge of other healthcare professions and their role in patient care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, caregivers, rehabilitation assistants, members of the interprofessional care team, both verbally (one-on-one and in groups) and in writing.
  • Ability to teach and provide effective consultation to patients, caregivers, rehabilitation assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, including relevant software applications.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of CAD $42.95 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a supportive work environment.

The estimated salary for this position is CAD 89,890 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek and 52 weeks per year.
