Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Professional to join our team at the Autograph Collection/Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. As a Room Dining Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

About the Job:

This is a full-time position that requires a welcoming nature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must be a food & beverage professional with formal greetings and able to explain menu items to guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set tables, trays according to type of food ordered and the hotel's service standards.
  • Accurately record, pre-check, and pick-up all food and beverage orders.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
  • Responsible for cleaning and removing trolleys/trays from guest rooms and corridors.
  • Serves guests their food and beverage in a prompt, courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service.
  • Presents physical and accurate checks to guests and completes the payment process.
  • To have a full knowledge of food & beverage items & their specifications, menu prices, ingredients, and style of service etc.
  • Report guest complaints immediately to supervisors and ensure follow-up is performed with the guest.
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, chinaware, glassware, etc., throughout the day.
  • Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to immediate supervisors.
  • Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
  • Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Ensure proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
  • Ensure minimum wastage and breakage.
  • Ensure communication between Kitchen, Order taker, and service team members.
  • Monitor operating supplies, equipment, and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully.
  • Respond to GXP requests to stock and replace missing bar cart items; liquor, snacks, glassware, menus, etc..
  • Deliver amenities to guest rooms prior to arrival.
  • Deliver ice to guest rooms prior to arrival.
  • Inspect and clean the bar cart in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
  • Maintain, track, and submit bar cart usage to the front desk for billing.
  • Responsible for maintaining the bar cart storage area in terms of par stock, rotating stock, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure products on bar cart are not expired and take the proper procedure to remove those products as necessary.
  • Properly complete, maintain, and track inventory in assigned storerooms; notifying the department head when ordering is necessary.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
  • Valid ServSafe certificate/alcohol training
