Design Engineer

Junior
- Conduct equipment engineering design and drafting, working under close supervision.
- Make decisions within established guidelines and technical standards.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory obligations and industry codes.
- Apply working knowledge of 3D modeling software and scanning techniques.
Intermediate
- Develop specialized skills in complex applications and lead junior team members.
- Prepare detailed drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate designs with clients and other disciplines, participating in model reviews.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and company specifications.
- Interface with other disciplines to progress production and provide technical guidance.
Senior
- Lead direct supervision of junior design staff and assign tasks accordingly.
- Make decisions on complex technical issues, exercising resourcefulness and ingenuity.
- Provide technical support to engineers and other professionals, researching relevant historic drawings.
- Develop detailed designs and 3D models, focusing on delivering high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Years of experience: Junior (0-4 years), Intermediate (5-10 years), and Senior (10+ years).
- Technical diploma or certificate from a recognized technology program.
- Registration with applicable provincial governing body.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 3D design/drafting software.
