Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

* Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
* Collaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical and psychological evaluations
* Develop and implement education plans to promote patient and family understanding of hemodialysis treatment and self-care
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

* Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, with a focus on hemodialysis or nephrology
* Completion of vascular access modules from the Ontario Renal Network
* Knowledge of nephrology nursing standards and practice recommendations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of an inter-professional team
