Early Childhood Care Educator

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Care educator to join our team at North Island College. As a Sessional Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach in the Early Childhood Care & Education Diploma program and contribute to the development of future educators.
Job DescriptionThis part-time instructional assignment involves teaching the course ECC 246: Practice Experience – Infants and Toddlers to a cohort of part-time ECCE diploma students using a face-to-face delivery method. The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of practice activities and use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution.
The schedule for this assignment will be flexible to meet the needs of the program. You will work closely with the Department Chair and other faculty members to ensure a smooth delivery of courses and programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications- Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education or related field (Bachelor's and Master's degree)
- Minimum three years of experience in Early Childhood Care & Education settings and/or teaching in an Early Childhood Care & Education program with practicum supervision experience
- Current awareness of community-based Early Childhood Care & Education issues and experience working collaboratively to address these issues
- Experience with Indigenous pedagogies and culture
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
This salary range is estimated based on industry standards and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
