About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pet Salon Specialist to join our team at Purrdy Paws Pet Grooming Spa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pet grooming services to our clients.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Bathing and shampooing animals to ensure they look and feel their best;
  • Clipping animal coats to maintain their health and hygiene;
  • Documenting animal behavior to ensure our clients receive the best possible care;
  • Monitoring animal behavior to identify any potential issues;
  • Styling animal coats to enhance their natural beauty;
  • Cleaning and disinfecting cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a clean and safe environment;
  • Conducting anal gland treatments to promote the health and well-being of our furry friends;
  • Keeping records of animals treated to ensure accurate tracking and follow-up care;
  • Cleaning animal ears to prevent infection and discomfort;
  • Providing flea bath treatments to animals to combat pests and parasites;
  • Clipping animal nails to prevent overgrowth and pain;
  • Performing expert clipping on show animals using specialized tools such as clippers, shears, and massage sponges;
  • Performing dental cleaning on domestic animals to promote oral health and hygiene;
  • Training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure our team is equipped to provide exceptional service;
  • Receiving payments from clients in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Providing clients with information about our services and products in a clear and concise manner;
  • Explain the type and cost of services offered to clients in a transparent and respectful way;
  • Cleaning work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace;
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in pet grooming or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues;
  • A strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in your work;
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods;
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the happiness of our furry clients
Compensation and Benefits
