Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Outside Sales. This role will be responsible for retaining and growing current customers, improving profitability of current accounts, and developing new customer business within assigned sales territory.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent sales skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and new account targets.

Key Responsibilities

The Combo BDM CDM position entails:

  • Educating and developing customer interests in addition to Ryder services, including Full Service Lease, Programmed Maintenance, Lease Financing, Fleet Management Services, and Dedicated Contract Carriage.
  • Educating and developing prospect value perception of Ryder services using the Ryder Sales Process.
  • Developing sales plans, analyzing the profitability of accounts, and understanding competitive influences and risks within each account.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of demonstrated consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a high degree of initiative.
  • The ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment, capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills, and detail-oriented.
