About the Opportunity

This Permanent part-time position involves applying knowledge, skills, and judgment to assist in the management of cardiorespiratory disorders under the direction of the Manager. The Respiratory Therapist will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic modalities. This role also involves educating patients, families, and other healthcare providers.

  • The ideal candidate must have a successful completion of a Respiratory Therapy program from an accredited institution
  • A successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Exams
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
  • One-year Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Current certification in BCLS and ACLS
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
