Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Wok Box.

Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Operations:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, upholding the highest standards of hygiene and organization.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
Work Environment:

As an Executive Chef at Wok Box, you will be working in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, multitasking, and effective time management.

Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required; relevant culinary training or certification is an asset.
  • Experience: At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a chef or in a related role.
  • Languages: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent judgement, a strong work ethic, and a team player mentality are essential for success in this role.
Estimated Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
