Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team as a Critical Care Nurse Consolidation Opportunity. In this role, you will work on rotating through various specialty nursing units while completing post-graduate courses applicable to the relevant specialty unit.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid time off.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Critical Care Nurse Consolidation Opportunity, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing patients and collecting information from various sources
- Making nursing diagnoses and determining whether conditions can be improved or resolved by nursing interventions
- Planning, performing, and evaluating nursing interventions and care
- Collaborating with patients and their families/caregivers in developing care plans
- Establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families/caregivers
- Participating in care and discharge planning processes
- Coordinating nursing care for patients and making referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing course/program or willingness to complete it
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
