Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at EDNA VIDAD. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Role:
  • Administer bedside and personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in activities that promote socialization and mental stimulation
  • Assist with exercise routines, such as walking or other low-impact activities
  • Launder clothing and household linens, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families. You will be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently, using your initiative and judgment to make decisions that prioritize client well-being.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. healthcare, social work) an asset
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical demands of the role
  • Certificate in First Aid and CPR
