We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Events and Community Engagement Specialist to join our team at the London Health Sciences Foundation. This is a 14-month maternity leave contract opportunity.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing marketing campaigns to increase event revenue. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others in their community and experience in event management, fundraising, and digital marketing.

This role requires a dynamic and energetic individual who can work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and provide excellent customer service.

  • Event Planning and Execution: Develop and implement plans for various events, including in-person and online events, to raise funds for patients and families at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, donors, and partners to ensure successful event execution and revenue growth.
  • Digital Marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns, social media promotions, and other digital marketing initiatives to increase event participation and revenue.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A post-secondary education, diploma, or undergraduate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in one or more areas, including fundraising, event management, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Demonstrated experience working with online fundraising tools, social media networks, content creation, and digital marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid vacation time.
