About the Role

Groupe SM Tardif is seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide technical assistance to resolve various issues.
  • Provide telephone support to clients to identify solutions before the service call, when applicable.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to resolve complex issues and improve the maintenance of our equipment.
  • Follow up on completed work to identify causes and track maintenance delays.
  • Research new products and services offered by our company.
  • Manage inventory and maintain an adequate stock level.
  • Contribute to the development of technical reports and proposals.
  • Write procedures and operation methods for our systems.
  • Prepare monthly reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of training documents.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and operation.
  • Certification as a Technician Authorized by Weights and Measures Canada is an asset.
  • Experience in planned and corrective maintenance of electromechanical systems is an asset.
  • Ability to read electromechanical plans and controls is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, be organized, responsible, and efficient.
  • Good stress tolerance to handle a high volume of service calls.
