Indigenous Science Professor Opportunity at Mount Royal University

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate educator to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Indigenous Science. This tenure-track position will be housed in the Department of Biology or the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, with the possibility of cross-appointment between departments.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in their discipline, including introductory and senior-level classes.
- Develop and teach new courses that incorporate Indigenous science methodologies and perspectives.
- SUPPORT THE INCLUSION OF INDIGENOUS EPISTEMOLOGIES, SCIENCES, PEDAGOGIES, AND DECOLONIZATION PRACTICES IN TEACHING AND LEARNING.
- Contribute to the development and redesign of curriculum to reflect Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing.

About the FacultyThe Faculty of Science and Technology offers a range of programs that prepare students for exciting careers in science and technology. Faculty members support the delivery of liberal education components of all Mount Royal University undergraduate degree programs by teaching courses in General Education (GNED). We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the growth and development of our faculty while advancing our efforts towards Indigenization.
