About the Role


VICTORY SMOKE & CONVENIENCE seeks a highly skilled Senior Retail Operations Manager to lead our retail team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Job Description:



  • Supervise Staff: Lead a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Manage the scheduling and allocation of tasks to meet business needs and achieve sales targets.
  • Authorize Payments by Cheque: Process payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Order Merchandise: Coordinate inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels and employee availability.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide exceptional customer service, promoting products and services to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Prepare Reports on Sales Volumes, Merchandising, and Personnel Matters: Analyze data to inform business decisions, identify trends, and optimize operations.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Workers: Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring employees are engaged, motivated, and equipped to excel in their roles.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly assess employee performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive improvement.

Requirements:



  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a retail environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and strong analytical and time management skills.

Compensation:


The estimated salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
