Job Title: Physicians

We are seeking qualified Physicians to join our multi-disciplinary teams of healthcare professionals and clinicians at WCB Alberta. As a Physician, you will play a crucial role in assessing and rehabilitating individuals with various medical conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess workplace injuries and medical conditions, and contribute to a worker's early return to work
  • Generate consult reports as a means of communication to the treating physician/s and the referral source
  • Function as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team, including physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and exercise therapists
  • Comply with ethical, legal, and professional guidelines and standards
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations and medical insurance
  • Develop familiarity with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the organization and work collaboratively to achieve them
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
  • Active and unrestricted License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
  • Paid malpractice insurance
  • Experience in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and non-clinicians
  • Ability to use electronic communication tools and general computer knowledge
