Records Management Specialist

About this opportunity:
Cenovus is seeking a highly skilled Records Management Administrator to oversee the management of centralized physical records throughout their life cycle. This role involves directing Service Providers to perform tasks required to manage these records, advising staff on best practices for Information Management, and maintaining the ecosystem of SharePoint sites within the Workplace and Real Estate team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective records management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address records management gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance on information management best practices, including document creation, sharing, and storage.
- Maintain and troubleshoot SharePoint sites, including permission management, library/list/site creation, and migration of new content.
- Develop and deliver training programs to staff on records management and information governance.
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Diploma/certificate in Records/Information Management, Library Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in information governance, document/records management.
- Demonstrated aptitude with the O365 suite of tools.
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint and Content Server.
