Job Summary
This position involves generating results while adhering to GMP requirements. You will be responsible for analyzing laboratory samples using various chemical and instrumental techniques, following established compendial and in-house testing methods with minimal supervision.
Working Hours
3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Position
This is a 12-month contract position
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of all laboratory samples, including raw materials, in-process products, finished products, purified water, cleaning validation, and stability samples using analytical instruments and established procedures.
- Notify supervisors promptly of any observations or results that may affect data validity or reflect variability in the manufacturing process.
- Document and compile all observations and data obtained from testing as per established SOPs and good documentation practices.
- Recognize OOS or out-of-trend results and assist in lab investigations under the direction of the supervisor.
- Perform calibration of laboratory equipment according to the department's established calibration program and GMP requirements.
- Dispose of waste solvent and order chemicals or laboratory supplies as required.
- Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

- Ensure personal adherence to compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree from a recognized educational institution in Chemistry or a related field; OR Community College diploma in a related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in pharmaceutical product analysis.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft programs, as well as laboratory software packages, is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP principles.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Proven organization and time management skills through previous work and/or educational experience.
- Experience with Good theoretical understanding of FTIR, titration, UV, and chromatography (TLC and column) techniques.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
