Job Description for Administrative Assistant
  • Education: The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Although experience is not required, it is an asset.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Arrange and coordinate seminars, conferences, and other events.
    • Manage and distribute mail, packages, and other materials.
    • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences.
    • Determine and establish office procedures and routines.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments.
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages.
    • Respond to electronic inquiries.
    • Compile data, statistics, and other information.
    • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
    • Arrange travel and make reservations.
    • Greet customers and direct them to contacts or service areas.
    • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
    • Prepare and type correspondence, forms, and other documents.
    • Perform data entry tasks.
    • Provide exceptional customer service.
    • Manage and maintain digital databases.
  • Work Environment: This role is a permanent position with a standard 32-hour workweek.
  • Language: The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.
