Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering Team at NOVA Chemicals Corporation. As a Process Engineer, you will provide process engineering support in achieving Utilities and Off-plots business results. You will work with various disciplines to address unit priorities, identify and address threats to process operations, and lead multidisciplinary teams to uncover root causes and implement necessary operational changes or projects to mitigate them.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and address threats to process operations
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to uncover root causes and implement necessary operational changes or projects
- Recognize and evaluate business improvement opportunities and conduct engineering projects or process operation experiments to realize the benefits
- Monitor process performance to identify daily operating issues and use root cause analysis techniques to determine the necessary adjustments to return to the desired operating state

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science in the discipline of chemical or process engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience
- Registered P.Eng., or eligibility to register as a P.Eng. in good standing with APEGA or an equivalent Canadian engineering governing body
