Job Summary

The Shaw Festival Theatre is seeking a highly skilled Senior Membership Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Membership department, you will be responsible for generating revenue through donor-centric conversations, renewing and upgrading existing members, and acquiring new donors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solicit charitable donations in support of The Shaw via outbound phone calling, electronic communication, and in-person communication.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards as a representative of the Shaw Festival, exhibiting strong communication skills, patience, professionalism, and a genuine interest in our members and patrons.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the arts and arts-based philanthropy, as well as a passion for theatre and support of artists and arts workers.
  • Share knowledge about the Shaw Festival, playbill, and plays to build rapport and advance relationships between The Shaw and patrons and members.
  • Achieve weekly metric targets in support of Membership's fundraising and personal goals.
  • Utilize Tessitura to track contacts, coordinate follow-up actions, document feedback, and process donations.
  • Maintain and update patron portfolios and member accounts.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Membership services on weekdays, some evenings, and weekends, including problem-solving for donors.
  • Be a resource for Audience Services and Box Office regarding Membership issues and needs.
  • Lead and assist in Membership events, including hosting post-show chats and other select Shaw events in support of revenue targets and patron interaction goals.
