About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at MCA Dental in Vanier, ON. As a key contributor and professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop individualized dental hygiene treatment plans based on patients' needs, prioritizing their oral health.
  • Utilize best practices for infection control, including instrument processing and treatment room maintenance.
  • Conduct medical health history screenings and updates, as well as baseline and routine assessments, including full mouth charting, probing, and oral cancer screening.
  • Take radiographs and impressions as prescribed by the dentist, and capture intra-oral photos.
  • Identify conditions and oral diseases such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide educational sessions for patients, covering oral hygiene instruction, plaque control, and post-operative instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and charting, identifying gaps in clinical schedules and assisting with scheduling.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during downtime, attending continuing education events as needed.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene.
  • Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO.
  • Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A friendly personality that works collaboratively with a team.
