Workforce Development Specialist

As a Workforce Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing workforce planning, scheduling, and performance reporting for HelloFresh's production facility in Abbotsford, BC. You will report to the Site Director and collaborate closely with Site Operations, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Contingency Worker Agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Create a rolling-week labor plan, defining staffing risks and actions, recommended staffing levels, and mix, to ensure on-time and on-budget production.
- Facilitate review cycles with internal and external stakeholders to align on labor planning goals and deliver the labor plan.
- Develop and document standard workforce planning, scheduling, and reporting processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Partner with Site Operations and People teams to build and track data sets required for labor planning, including headcount, attendance, fill rate, attrition, people data, target percent agency, overtime, and average labor rates.
- Oversee internal and external labor hours and invoice reconciliation and approvals process.
- Manage weekly scheduling processes, including schedule creation, availability requests, and changes, ensuring adherence to defined planning and scheduling processes.
- Communicate and coordinate with employment agencies for daily labor management.
- Produce management reports on labor performance, comparing scheduled plans to targets, and reviewing results with respective departments.
- Train and support users on workforce planning and scheduling tools and systems.
- Perform office administration functions, such as ordering supplies, coordinating engagement activities, and managing facility communications.
- Screen visitors entering the building and direct them accordingly.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within a production or supply chain industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex information in a user-friendly way.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A clear passion for food and working in a fast-paced production environment.
