Hobby JR is currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Merchandise Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales floor, managing inventory, and supervising a team of sales staff.

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on experience)

The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role and a college education or equivalent. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are working efficiently
  2. Hire, train, and develop a team of sales staff to meet business objectives
  3. Establish work schedules that meet business needs and ensure adequate staffing
  4. Sell merchandise by demonstrating product knowledge and providing excellent customer service
  5. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  6. Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise
  7. Organize and maintain inventory levels to maximize sales potential
  8. Supervise and coordinate activities of sales staff to achieve business goals
