Our client is a fast-growing construction organization seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to lead the financial strategy and drive growth. Located in Canada, they specialize in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects that enhance communities and foster sustainable development.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with private ownership. They should possess strong financial planning and analysis skills, including balance sheet forecasting, and previous experience leading financial planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all financial operations and strategic activities
  • Collaborating closely with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives
  • Managing financial planning and analysis, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring robust financial controls
  • Developing strategy for effective stakeholder management

The successful candidate will be hands-on with treasury management and bank positions/covenants, experienced with external audit preparation and internal controls, and proficient in Excel. Knowledge of statement of cash flow and working capital management is essential. Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including budgeting and forecasting, is also preferred.
